AIS & Barracuda Host K-12 Executive Round Table

In partnership with Barracuda Networks, Alliance InfoSystems (AIS) held an executive roundtable on Thursday, July 11 for IT managers supporting K-12 educational institutions.
Unlike their colleagues in other industries, K-12 network administrators must protect vulnerable children from the Internet’s worst dangers, including predators and cyberbullying. Keeping kids safe is just one of many new challenges K-12 IT professionals face every day—and budget cuts don’t make it any easier to keep up with the demands.
IT Representatives from Baltimore, Howard and Carroll County public schools, the Carroll County Library System and the Kent County government attended this seminar that covered securing the network (including Wi-Fi), ensuring safe browsing, monitoring social media and protecting students to meet compliance requirements.
